Privacy policy

How your data is handled on this site.

Who is responsible

The controller for the personal data collected on this site is the private individual who operates it, acting on a non-commercial basis. Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, that individual decides how and why your data is processed. You can get in touch through the site's contact form.

Why your data is processed

Your data is used only to run the site, keep it secure and reply to you. Processing rests on legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR, together with your consent where required (Article 6(1)(a)). We never sell or rent your data.

Rights under the UK GDPR

The UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 give you the following rights:

  • Right of access: a copy of the data held about you.
  • Right to rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure: ask for your data to be deleted.
  • Restriction: limit how your data is used.
  • Right to object: object to the processing.
  • Right to data portability: receive your data in a reusable format.
  • Right to withdraw consent: at any time, where processing relies on consent.

You can use these rights through the contact form on this site. If you are not satisfied, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the supervisory authority for the United Kingdom, at ico.org.uk.

Cookie notice

This site uses only strictly necessary cookies. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), advertising or analytics cookies are set only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. You can also refuse cookies through your browser settings.

Updates

This policy is updated when the law or the service changes. The current version here is the one in force.

Data we collect

Only the data needed to deal with your request is collected, and no special category data is requested: the name and email you give, an optional phone number, your message, and basic technical data like your IP address.

How long data is kept

Personal data is kept only for as long as it is needed for the purpose, then deleted, save where the law requires it to be kept longer. Server logs are held briefly and then erased.
